Anna, an alumna of Wuhan Textile University’s Fashion Design programme, developed her meticulous approach through work with luxury and exclusive lingerie labels, gaining deep expertise in fit, comfort and structural refinement.
"When I do my design work, my muse is an independent woman — confident, adventurous, connected to nature, and accepting of imperfections. She is thoughtful, decisive, open-minded, and comfortable across different cultures.”
Different places create different feelings. For Anna, travel is not just movement — it is observation, atmosphere, and culture. As a passionate diver, she often chooses islands as destinations, drawn to the way landscape, sea, and local life shape how people dress and live.
In places like Morocco, Tunisia, or other more exotic regions, Anna is inspired by traditional craftsmanship, texture, and a sense of warmth and richness. In Europe, her attention shifts toward a more sophisticated, modern, and chic expression. These contrasts naturally find their way into her design process. Travel teaches her that style is contextual — it responds to where you are and how you feel.
“I don’t think that a swimsuit should be given a single function or a fixed place to be worn. It should be a fashion accessory that works with daily clothes. It can move easily from the beach to a fancy restaurant.”
Because of this, ANNA WALDORF swimwear is never designed in isolation. A swimsuit is not only for swimming — it is part of a journey.
“I think design is about helping a woman look charming and express her personality, rather than simply making clothes look good.”
ANNA WALDORF reflects a way of living shaped by movement, culture, and quiet confidence — swimwear designed for women who move through places, styles, and moments without needing to change who they are.
“I often feel that swimwear design isn’t just a job — it’s a relationship with Doris.”
When Anna met Russell, they quickly discovered a shared ambition: to build a brand defined by thoughtful design and craftsmanship. Their partnership began in Shanghai, united by the idea that refinement comes from intention, and that simplicity, when executed with precision, can be profoundly expressive.
At Anna Waldorf, the design philosophy is rooted in “less but better”. Each piece is reduced to its essential form, then perfected through careful tailoring, premium fabrics and attention to every technical and tactile detail. The result is clothing that feels calm, considered and enduring — elevated essentials for a modern resort wardrobe.
From London to the world, Anna Waldorf speaks through a quiet yet assured design language, redefining contemporary elegance with pieces crafted to last and made to be lived in with confidence.
